Gretchen Shull
A Familiar Face with a Fresh Perspective.
I’m a native to Webb City and have always loved this community. I graduated as valedictorian of the Webb City High School class of 1995. I stayed close for my first four years of college, and after medical school returned home to practice in my hometown. My husband, Webb City Council Member, Jonathan Shull is also a Webb City grad and works in the community. We are Webb City Cardinals through and through, and I believe I can make a difference in our community.

Why I’m Running
Improvement and Progress
I understand people educated in small towns have big things to do and say. Cardinals dominate this country no matter where they land. I was raised in this town as a 5th generation cardinal and have chosen to raise my family here as well.
Health and Wellness
We live in a worldly time, and I personally work in a healthcare system with a National footprint and presence. I feel it is the right time to concentrate on MY community. I have been called. This is an area that I have a lot to offer. I have extensive knowledge in the following: faculty health and wellness programs, preventative health, behavioral health, and nutrition in both life long empowerment and in performance and athletics. I also want to raise vaccine awareness. Learn more about my background in healthcare.
Re-evaluating Safety
As CEO of Contego Research, a ballistics testing and equipment integration company, I have experience and a passion for protecting people from accidental, criminal, and adversarial shooting incidents. My experience has created an awareness of the gaps and potential threats of such incidents and a drive to improve the systems that protect our children. Learn more about my experience.
Celebrating Teachers
I believe in celebration and autonomy of our teachers. While we do this, we must demand accountability from them. I want to support them with mentorship and guidance programs for the new and young teachers. I want to continue to reclaim teaching as a profession and give it the respect it deserves.
